Privacy Policy
Who we are
NZ EOR Hub (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website employerofrecord.co.nz. We publish comparisons of Employer of Record, PEO and labour hire providers operating in New Zealand, along with reference guides on New Zealand pay and employment law. We are a publisher of information, not an employment provider, and we do not process payroll or employ anyone on your behalf.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have in relation to it. It is written with reference to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the information privacy principles it sets out.
Information we collect
- Details you submit through our enquiry form: your name, work email address, company, what you need help with, and your message
- Any further information you choose to share in subsequent correspondence with us, which may include details of quotes you have received or your hiring plans
- Aggregate analytics about how the website is used, such as pages viewed, approximate location at city or country level, referring site, and device and browser type
- Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics and basic site functionality
We do not ask for, and would prefer you did not send, sensitive personal information about your employees or candidates. If you need to discuss a specific individual, describe the situation without identifying them.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry and to provide the assistance you have asked for. Where you ask us to comment on quotes or shortlist providers, we use the details you give us for that purpose only.
Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which guides and comparisons people find useful, and to decide what to publish or update next. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your contact details to providers featured on this site unless you have expressly asked us to introduce you to one of them.
Retention and your rights
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as it is useful for the purpose you contacted us about, and we delete it when it is no longer needed. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request access to it, and to request correction of anything inaccurate. You can also ask us to delete information you have sent us. To make any of these requests, use the enquiry form on our contact page and tell us what you need. We will respond within 20 working days, as the Act requires.
Third parties, links and complaints
This website links to provider websites and to New Zealand government sources such as Employment New Zealand and WorkSafe. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Review their own policies before submitting information to them.
Our analytics are provided by a third-party service, which processes usage data on our behalf. Your browser settings can be used to limit or block cookies if you prefer.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with us through the contact page. You also have the right to complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
